Dan Churchill is a celebrity chef, a qualified exercise physiologist and the resident food expert for Chris Hemsworth’s Centr app, so we’re guessing he knows a thing or two about how healthy snacking. Here, he shares his go-to recipe for a mid-afternoon munch to keep those hunger pains at bay.

The most important part of a satisfying snack is protein, and the combination of almond butter and protein powder in these bars makes them a great choice.

They don’t have the unhealthy additives that many store bought bars have, and are easy to make ahead of time. You can even freeze them if you prefer to make a batch and store them for later.
